Emery is too busy with her dreams of becoming a chef to bother with falling in love, especially on Elora’s Eve, when it’s said that you will find your mate, until the mysterious bounty hunter Vee walks into the tavern.

Vee is stuck in Ia’tos and unable to chase their quarry halfway across the system, but that isn’t the worst part, the small town is all but shut down because of their annual Elora’s Night festival. All is not lost after they meet Emery, a Terran with a kind heart, that offers to show them around the small settlement.

Sparks fly immediately, but will it build into something beyond a few steamy nights together?
